O’Connors advises Haarslev UK on sale to global partner

After more than 40 years of successful cooperation, Skelmersdale-based food processing technology business Haarslev UK Limited has officially become part of the Haarslev global family following its acquisition by Haarslev Industries A/S for an undisclosed sum.

The company is now a subsidiary of Haarslev Industries A/S. Kevin and Martin Gaffney and all employees remain with the company.

Commenting on the deal, Henning Haugaard, Haarslev Industries A/S’s Regional Director, said: “We believe that through this exercise, we can further strengthen the market presence and customer experience of Haarslev in the UK and Ireland both for capital sales and for customer care. Even though the UK has been one of our most successful markets in the past 3 decades we believe we can still find room to grow and expand our business.”

Martin Gaffney added, “I am delighted that, after so many years working together, we are now officially part of the Haarslev family. This transaction enables us to become fully integrated into the Haarslev sales and customer care teams, continuing our successful approach to customer relations and strengthening our market position as one company.”

O’Connors advised the shareholders of Haarslev UK Limited on the transaction.
